ABOUT MYLISA KESSELMAN

I provide counseling for individuals, couples, and groups. My work includes assisting clients in developing healthy relationship patterns, coping with anxiety or depression, addressing past trauma, or exploring personal growth. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. As a certified yoga instructor, I often incorporate mindfulness strategies, yoga, or other body work into my therapy practice. I welcome individuals and couples who identify on the LGBTQ spectrum, and those who identify as sex positive or polyamorous. My practice is kink friendly.

I received my master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Maryland’s European Division. I have worked in a variety of counseling settings, including non-profit agencies, the Philadelphia prison system, and private practice. I have extensive experience in treating sexual abuse and trauma, and specialized training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Trauma Art Narrative Therapy. â€‹
